Hinge prompt answer checker
By the bestsideofyou teamLast updated
Paste one answer. You get a quick read on how specific it is, any phrases that show up on too many profiles, and the kind of detail that would make it yours.
How it reads your answer
It looks for the things that make an answer easy to reply to: a place, a name, a number, a habit, a small story. It flags lists (“Coffee, hiking, dogs”), words that describe half the people on the app, and phrases from our cliché list, the same list our own writing tool refuses to use. Hinge answers are capped at 150 characters, so it counts those too.
What it can't judge is whether the answer is true to you. That part is yours. If you want examples to calibrate against, start with the full prompt list.
Questions people ask
Do you keep what I paste?
No. The answer is checked and thrown away. We don't store it, and we don't use it to train anything.
Will it rewrite my answer?
No. A rewrite from a stranger would sound like a stranger. It points at what's generic and asks a question that helps you find your own detail.
Why is there a limit?
The detailed notes use a language model, so each visitor gets a few detailed checks per hour. After that you still get the quick rule-based check.
